Hansel and Gretel Movie trailer Analysis

This film is due to come out in 2013, it was directed by Tommy Wirkola and stars Jeremy Renner, Gemma Arterton and Peter Stormare.

The Trailer has been made suitable for appropraite audiences, this is to try and attract a large wide range of people to be the audeince. As capping the films trailer at a 18 will severely limit who sees the film.

The trailer tells the audeince a large amount about the film which doesn't leave the audience wondering what it is about but what is going to happen to the kids and Gretal, as you hear both kids have been abducted. But the main enigma that will help draw back the audience is at the end of the clip where you hear Hansel say, "I don't think we're hunting witches anymore", after this you see a clip of the edge of a dense forrest and it shaking as if some thing is running towards Hansel and Gretal. The audeince will want to watch the film to find out what this creature is. Another factor that will help draw in an audeince is the fact that the film is based on a fairytale that some of the audeince will of read, this will interest them and make them want to see the film. The film also includes other features that will help draw in people, the fact that it is clearly a action film which can be seen from the amount of violence which is featured within the film trailer. But also the fact they includes Jeremy Renner who featured in Marvel Avengers a very recent, very successful action/sci-fi film. This is also the same genre so the audience that enjoyed Avengers are very likely to watch this film.
