Taken 2 Film Trailer

Taken 2 is the sequel to the first Taken movie, this series is a action packed kidnapping film in which members of Bryan Mills (Liam Neeson) family get kidnapped and he uses his skills as an ex-CIA agent to find and save the family members. In the first film Bryan's daughter gets kidnapped and he travels over europe to find and kill the men that did this to his daughter. In the end he kills the men responsible of the kidnap. But from this trailer you can see that in this film it is a story of a revenge as killing men to save his daughter has enraged some people who have sent for his family to be kidnapped, but in the trailer it seems that only his wife gets taken. The film is an action film that is aimed at a mainly male audience with an age around 15-40.

The first part of the trailer you see is a large 20th Century Fox title, this is a large film production company which is owned by media conglomerate News Corp. It has created other famous and successful film such as Avatar, Ice Age and Alien. As you can tell they have a wide range of successful films in all genres which could help attract audiences as they might of seen a sci-fi film by 20th Century fox and as they liked it they might watch Taken 2 as they think the production company is good. The first shot you see is of a very picturesque mountainside with a lot of people standing together. Then the second shot you can clearly see that it is a burial of around 7 men, if you have seen the first film you realise this is the burial of the men that Bryan killed. As you see men paying their respects to there friends you see flashbacks of how Mills killed them, these shots are from the previous film. You then hear one of the men say, "We will have our revenge." Here you understand that this film is a revenge plot to get their own back on Mills for killing their friends. A title then shows saying, "this year." This lets the audience of the trailer know when the film is out so they know when they can see it when it gets into the cinema. From here you see a build up, which includes at the start slow paced shots and slow music but this builds up to fast paced shots and quick loud music. In conclusion this trailer is a good advertisement for the film as it helps appeal to a previous and new audience.
